The Judith Campbell Educational and Community Foundation, the new foundation that provides grants and scholarships to non-profits and high school students, finished its inaugural year by awarding $525,000 in grants to 26 partners, and $150,000 in scholarships throughout San Diego County.

With the mission to empower youth and broader community primarily in San Diego County, JCEC’s grant distribution for the 2021-2022 year spanned 26 non-profit organizations, including partners such as The Monarch School, Just In Time for Foster Youth, Pro Kids Golf and Carlsbad Educational Foundation.  Among this years’ grant recipients working to make long-term community impact, causes ranged from organizations investing in providing support to victims of domestic violence, support for families of Camp Pendleton, and groups providing transitional housing and support for injured military personnel.

JCEC awarded $125,000 in educational scholarships through community partners as well as $50,000 direct JCEC scholarships to San Diego high school seniors.  Scholarships ranged from $7,500 to $15,000.
